JASIS was started in 1962, formerly known as JAIMA, and is held annually. in 2012, the show was jointly organized by JAMIMA and LSIA for the first time and renamed JASIS. jasis is known as one of the four major exhibitions in the analytical instrumentation industry along with analytica in Europe, Pittcon in the U.S.A., and BCEIA in China.
